They’re thrilled to be recognized for another outstanding home by the Canadian Home Builders Association. Affectionately named ‘So Good to be Home’ this home was designed and built to be a ‘special place’ for their clients’ family and friends!
This welcoming lakeside, ‘Farmhouse’ design has an overstated exterior revealing the homeowners’ joyful personality. The lakeside trees shield the well-positioned home from the wind and sun. The landscaping included lots of rockwork, which integrates beautifully into the natural setting. Because this home was designated as the gathering place for extended family, it was designed and built for year round ‘Indoor Outdoor living’! A 7-Hole putting green at the front entry, sets the tone!
Inside, there’s a large country kitchen and an inviting living room. The clients wanted their home to have some hidden surprises, including 2 staircases to the top floor. Shiplap covers most walls and ceilings. There are faux beams and multiple flooring changes. The living room boasts a vaulted ceiling, windows on three sides and a massive fireplace! Their dining room is technically an inside space, but ‘Folding Glass’ doors magically change it into outdoor living space!
Upstairs, there’s a large, vaulted, master suite featuring large windows that offer amazing views. The ensuite has shiplap ceiling and walls and there’s a fully tiled ‘wet room’ which contains a shower and bathtub. Their dressing room has a coffee-bar, closet and cabinets and opens onto a private deck.
This home took home the Gold in the 2024 Canadian Home Builders Okanagan Housing Awards of Excellence!
