Restful Moments with Nature

This unique home was a special renovation for Hindbo Construction. The ‘addition’ that was planned to be built onto the existing cabin proved a lengthy process in getting the appropriate permits, but the results are outstanding. The wood shiplap on the walls creates such a warm ambience. Large windows in every room allowed an amazing view of the lake and wooded areas. Not only does the brick wall behind the wood fireplace provide the necessary protection but also becomes a feature wall that’s in harmony with the space. Our clients particularly love the kitchen with its expansive lake views and from a practical point…plenty of countertop space! This renovation required a complex connection of the 16 feet by 36 feet addition with a 10 degree angle. Our experienced crews did an excellent job of tying the new foundation int the existing structure, complete with a ICF foundation crawlspace. We’re well-known home builders in the Shuswap region and this home is another example of the pride we have for our work.
