You really should be here! Transportation to the the North Okanagan-Shuswap is a beautiful half day drive from either Vancouver or Calgary or a short flight into one of our nearby airports. Once you are here, you may just want to choose to hike, bike, paddle or boat our local trails and waterways!


The Shuswap is located in southern British Columbia, midway between Calgary and Vancouver on the Trans Canada Highway #1. The region is also accessed via Highway 97, the main corridor from the Okanagan to the US Border.


Getting in or out of the North Okanagan-Shuswap is as easy a short drive to either Kelowna International Airport (YLW), located 75 minutes south of Salmon Arm on Hwy. 97, or Kamloops Airport (YKA) located 75 minutes west of Salmon Arm via the Trans Canada Hwy.

Kelowna Airport offers daily international flights with carriers such as Air Canada, WestJet, Air Canada Jazz and Horizon Air.

Kamloops Airport offers daily flights with carriers such as Air Canada, WestJet and Central Mountain Air.

Shuswap Regional Airport located Salmon Arm offers two 24-hour runways for charter flights.
